We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Accountant.

 

We are seeking an Accountant to be responsible for supporting the management of a client portfolio by ensuring accurate accounting entries, assisting with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns, client reports, and contributing to daily client interactions under supervision. You will report to the Manager Accounting and Tax Compliance.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in managing a portfolio of clients and acting as the main point of contact under supervision, escalating issues when necessary. 
  • Record, verify, and post client invoices in accordance with French accounting obligations and internal processes.
  • Support the preparation and filing of annual financial statements (liasse fiscal, solde IS) and statutory books for assigned clients.
  • Help prepare and submit periodic tax declarations (e.g., VAT, corporate tax) and informative filings (e.g., DAS2, IFU) to French authorities.
  • Monitor and respond to requests from French administrative bodies (URSSAF, DGFIP, etc.) in coordination with the senior team.
  • Collaborate with other departments or partners (legal, HR, payroll) on matters with cross-functional impact.
  • Supports the team when needed in the distribution of tasks.
  • Follows the company quality standards and processes.
  • Start identifying business opportunities based on client characteristics.

Relevant Experience:

 

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position. Experience in management with multinational clients is a must.

 

Education and Professional Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bac +3 or equivalent).
  • Good knowledge of French accounting and tax regulations, especially in regard to VAT, IRPF, IS, French General Accounting Plan and other relevant regulations for the provision of the service.
  • High level of English and French.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
