Our opportunity for you: 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional as AML/KYC Specialist and  you will work as part of the Transfer Agency department.

You will play an important role and your primary task is to perform reviews and analysis of the KYC/AML documentation and investor identification of complex and/or high-risk entities in accordance with the current regulatory requirements in Luxembourg and with Vistra’s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for (new) investors onboarding process
  • Ensure that reviews of the investors KYC files are complete, accurate and validated in accordance with our current guidelines and procedures
  • Organise and lead the periodic review of investor files
  • Contribute to review the FATCA/CRS investor files in the context of tax reporting
  • Find solutions by liaising with the operational teams, Team Leaders and Directors in terms of missing information or problems
  • Ensure Client reporting’s accuracy, completeness and timeliness
  • Contribute to Regulatory reporting
  • Regulatory awareness:
    • develop a thorough industry knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment by attending seminars, conferences in relation to compliance and transfer agency matters
    • contribute to analyse new CSSF circulars and regulations
    • update TA AML processes & procedures accordingly
    • contribute to update guidelines in accordance Group policy-principles changes
    • according to your expertise and role, we expect you to deliver quality by holding value-added  trainings to our staff members in line with business requirements as well as with the changing regulatory and Group procedural landscape
  • Work in an efficient, accurate and entrepreneurial way in compliance with internal procedures
  • Record the working hours/client in the time billing system according to the objectives set

Attributes/Technical Skills:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties including lawyers, bankers, tax advisors and notaries
  • Be a team leader and be supportive towards your colleagues
  • Take initiative by proactively following up on daily matters
  • Anticipate potential queries and issues. Ensure these queries are addressed in a timely manner
  • Share your knowledge and experience with your direct reports
  • Be a role model to less senior colleagues in terms of professionalism and behaviour
  • Maintain communication with clients and investors
  • Ensure that client deadlines are met
  • Adhere to internal procedures at all times


Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a professional services firm
  • Strong knowledge of KYC/AML processes and procedures
  • Strong understanding of regulations applicable to Luxembourg companies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive with a client/investor service orientated attitude
  • Ability to develop and grow our commercial business activity
  • Ability to solve problems, work independently and as a team leader
  • University degree in Finance and/or in Economics (ACAMS AML certification would be a distinct advantage)
